Arsenal camp quite optimistic that Robin van Persie could sustain. That's because Van Persie is not the type of player who would be tempted to move the other clubs because of the lure of money. Contract with the Gunners for Van Persie will expire in the summer of 2013. But the decision to postpone the discussion of a new contract until the end of the season has been speculated to make its future.
With captivating performances this season, the Dutch striker no doubt attract a large number of clubs. Arsenal, the latter has lost its flagship range of players Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri, the more surely helm. That's why then 'Gunner' was mentioned already approached Germany striker Lukas Podolski to anticipate when Van Persie go to other clubs.
However, Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood is optimistic that Van Persie will last a couple of reasons. First, he and his family are at home in London, and secondly because he is not the players who are easily tempted by the financial bid.
"I think Robin and his family very, very happy in London and I think he is not solely motivated by money like some other players," said Hill-Wood in the Daily Star quoted by Sky Sports.
